Even being in Ireland for one day I could tell that a lot of the people here had a good sense of humor and life. They seemed very kind, genuine, and helpful. The first week is when I really noticed this. Going to the local grocery store and chatting with people I could see that they seemed very happy and willing to help me with anything. One of the ladies at the deli flat out told me if I need anything let her know and that I was very welcome here in town. People have made me feel like Louisburgh is my home and coming to a new country and totally different style of life can be scary and hard, but the locals have made it very comforting and made it easier for me. I am very excited to meet more new people and hear their stories about their life.
